                                                new life...

The first photograph shows details of one of the two lower level mantels.  The next two photographs shows both mantels found on the main floor.  The last mantel is located in the master bedroom to concealed the previous angled iron protruding out of the stone work, securing the previous roof collar tie.  All are Douglas-fir, and believed to be approximately 200 years-old and were found nearby at Reclamation Lumber in New-Haven, CT.
