PROJECT DESCRIPTION : The existing house has been transformed into an award winning green home and is now an ENERGY STAR Certified New Home. The house received óóóóó ½ Energy Star rating, the highest possible, and a NY HERS Score of 92.8 / HERS Index of 36.
This green home is a blueprint for healthy, comfortable home that cuts energy and utility bills by half. Building and remodeling green may cost slightly more up front, but the combined savings of much lower monthly utilities bills, near zero maintenance and long lasting building materials more than make up for it in a very short period.
