But the reviews are unadulterated...

* PROJECTS IN THE WORKS *

We have not one, but two magnificent "basement" that will soon be ready for photography.  They both have their unique features, one with a lavish sunk-in home theatre that is out-of-this world.
The other one features several double French doors and panels, and an unprecedented amount of built-ins, including an extensive, fully equipped custom bar...  Come back soon!

As nice as the projects above are, our Transformations project will undoubtedly steal the show of our next newsletter!  It is just short of being fully ready for photography, with the decor and lighting final touches...

Green Building - Saving Money and the Environment -
“Green building” is a win-win with homeowners who are penny-wise and ecology-minded.
Imagine a house where the electric meter spins backward on a sunny day.  Sound far-fetched? Think again.  Here’s the best part: New York State, and the federal government, are willing to pay to put homeowners in the power business.

GreenPlusRegistry.com

How green is your home?
How safe, healthy, energy efficient and eco-friendly is your home?
Find out by rating it with the GreenPlus Registry program.
After filling out an on-line form that consists of 27 questions, GreenPlus will score your home in three areas: Health, safety and welfare.
If your home qualifies, it will be listed in the National Greenplus Registry.  You will also receive a certificate indicating your home's rating.  The web site will also suggest ways to reduce energy bills, as well as insurance premiums and property taxes.  Best of all, it's all free.

Shingles To Road

More than 11 million tons of asphalt shingles enter U.S. landfills yearly. One source suggests that roofing debris may make up as much as 10% of U.S. landfills. But the difference between asphalt shingles and much of what otherwise goes in those landfills is that shingles don't decompose at the same rate. They're stuck there.  Until now.  A few states started a new program, where they recycle asphalt shingles by grinding them into a substance used in asphalt paving products.  Read more

Green Stripper...

We're talking about a paint and glue remover, completely made of corn and soybeans!
No environmentally hazardous ingredients!
The aMAIZEing™ Biobased Solvent & Stripper is 100% derived from a proprietary blend of U.S. grown corn and soybean esters designed to lift from the surface, strip and remove mastics, adhesives, paint and more from concrete, masonry, wood, metal and a host of other surfaces.

The Right Way to Remodel

Making your home green and energy efficient during a remodel is easier - and more effective - than you may think.
During an extensive remodel, a home can be made more green and energy efficient with little to no extra expense.  However, the extra energy efficiency, durability of the materials (meaning less maintenance and longer service), and a healthier, more comfortable home will more than make up for any added expense.
One of the best written article ever published for anyone owning a home.

* HAVE A $100 DINNER ON US

Are you aware that your recently completed project became "Our Working Showroom"* and you have become "Our Best Salesperson"?

When your support results into a signed project with us, we will show our gratitude to those who recommend us and to those of you who open their doors to let one of our prospective customers see "the Working Showroom"*.

We'll send you to dinner at one of Westchester's premiere restaurants, Peter Pratt's Inn, on us! (A $100 value.  Good for a la carte dining, Tuesdays to Sundays).

Peter Pratt's Inn was recently awarded a four star rating by Gerry Dawes, a writer for The Journal News.  You can find out more by visiting the web site, Peter Pratt's Inn.com.  You'll be able to review the menu and wine list, and even get directions. We recommend printing the map.

Bon Appetit!

*What WE call a "Working Showroom" is an actual, real, functional project (i.e.: kitchen, bathroom) that has been built around existing conditions, restrictions and obstructions, as opposed to those setup showrooms found in retailer's displays where the only limitation is the designer's imagination!
