CLIENT: Mr. & Mrs. Unknown
PROJECT LOCATION: Lewisboro, NY
PROJECT GOALS: Enlarge the dark kitchen without "bumping out" (without
adding on, or building an addition). Make better or more frequent
usage of seldom used (once or twice a year!) dining room; Eliminate
the forever long "dead space" hallway; Create a better flow, better
"connection" between the kitchen, the family room, the outdoors which will
help communication between the family members, the guests, etc. ...
PROJECT DESCRIPTION : Complete, or almost complete re-designing of
first floor revolving around the kitchen. A designer and an architect
(hired at different times) were both "fired" by the customer after being
unable to come up with a practical design that would please the customer,
not themselves... The best way to appreciate the difference is by
examining the before & after plans
(it can give you ideas for your own kitchen...). Please note the
replacement and/or relocation of several windows and/or doors. You can
also browse, or "mouse over" most pictures for additional brief
descriptions.
