CLIENT NAME:  J & E. Flanagan
PROJECT LOCATION:  Greenwich, CT
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The clients of this Greenwich home wanted to transform their lower level into a space for entertaining.  What was a single large room became a home theatre, gym, bar, game room, bathroom and a seating area.
Jack hammering and discarding the concrete floor slab and digging into the ground below allowed us to add ceiling height and create the stadium seating in the home theatre.  Elaborate millwork was added for ambience.  The half-wall in the home gym defines the space while also keeping it open to the rest of the lower level.  The extensive bar area was created with space for dishwasher drawers, wine refrigerators and a microwave.  Three windows were added to this area to bring in light.  The game room/seating area was also brightened up when we centered the French doors and flanked them with two stationary doors.  A full bath with elaborate tiling was added to the far corner of the space.  Extensive stonework was done outside to match the rest of the home.
